She is known for her positive attitude, compassion, and willingness to assist whenever needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Kristen has consistently gone above and beyond to meet the needs of our patients,&#8221; said Matt Jones, Nurse Manager for Orthopedics. Her contributions include organizing a care package for a patient transitioning to a long-term facility and personally providing essential items for other patients. Garrett also plays an active role in supporting local nursing programs, serving on hospital nursing committees, and acting as a certified clinical preceptor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The award, made possible by a generous contribution from Mr. Ray Jensen, seeks to recognize a nurse who exceeds the basic standards of care. The $1,500 cash prize is awarded annually to a nurse who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to improving healthcare, positively impacting patients, colleagues, and physicians, and showing extraordinary kindness toward patients.
