Georgia lawmakers enacted the Georgia HEART rural hospital organization expense tax credit program to encourage taxpayers throughout Georgia to learn more about the challenges rural hospitals face and to contribute to improve their financial condition and patient offerings.<\/p>\n\n

The state allows for a 100% state tax credit for a contribution, making it attractive to individuals, married couples, and corporations considering a philanthropic gift to their local rural hospital. You can designate your state tax dollars to support Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton and\/or Southwell Medical in Adel. \u00a0Both of these vital hospitals provide quality, compassionate medical services for the community, including charitable and indigent care.\u00a0 Your contribution makes a difference!<\/p>\n\n

How are the Georgia HEART funds used?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Georgia HEART funding for 2025 has been designated to support a new Maternal Fetal Medicine program at Tift Regional Medical Center.\u00a0 At Southwell Medical, the funds will be used to purchase radiology equipment, patient beds, wheelchairs, furniture, and advanced surgical equipment.<\/p>\n\n
