Bernd’s banking career started in Germany, then to Los Angeles where he gained experience in small business lending as a commercial loan officer for a commercial bank. He then worked as a CFO for Southern California based machine tool manufacturer with a worldwide client base. In 1990 he started World Trade Finance a s commercial niche lender to the growing small business exporter market. His extensive experience on “both sides of the table”, as CFO/borrower/exporter and as a lender makes him a valuable partner for his export clients.

Irene began her banking career in Canada and became a commercial lender at a Southern California trade lender. She has extensive experience in import/export financing as well as government guaranteed export programs, both as lender and as a consultant to CEFO, a past California State export program. At WTF, she has been in charge of the loan portfolio since 1990 and is also the liaison for SBA and Exim.
